Basic Info
Name:Delirium
Bio
All of us are crazy in one way or another.

"Sometimes you fall, spinning through space, grasping for the things that keep you on this earth. Sometimes you catch them. They can be the hands of the people you love. They can be your pets- pups with funny names, cats with ferocious old souls. The thing that keeps you here can be your art. It can be things you have collected and invested with a certain sense of meaning. A flowered, buckled treasure chest of secrets. Shoes that make you taller and, therefore, closer to the heavens. A suit that belonged to your fairy godmother. A dress that makes you feel a little like the Goddess herself.

Sometimes you keep falling; you don't catch anything.

Sometimes you fall, spinning through space, grasping for the things that keep you here. Sometimes you catch them. Sometimes you don't.

Sometimes they catch you."

Youngest of the Endless, but still infinitely older than everything, Delirium often appeared as a young woman no older than sixteen. Until she felt older, then she appeared older. With brilliantly red hair and mismatched blue and green eyes, she moved through the world like an otherworldly sprite. Her hair ebbed and flowed, giving the feeling that it was under water, and changed like a prism. Her clothes also changed, shifting as she saw fit. Errant shadows never reflect her shape, and felt like velvet to the touch.

Her first incarnation was as Delight. However, something happened; it was rumoured that Delight had been betrothed and had her heart broken. The event caused her to retreat into her own head, in which she stayed too long. When she came out, Delight became Delirium. And everything changed. Always having been innocent and a little naïve, Delirium came out no different. But now she spoke in non sequitors and riddles. She came across as easily distracted and absentminded, but understood more than some people thought. After all, the line between genius and insanity was extremely thin.

Her realm was of chaotic swirls and shifting colours, floating fish and other shapes, all which shifted at their own whim. It should be noted that only the deeply insane can walk through Delirium's realm for a long period of time. Because of this, she was often lonely, and traveled to remedy the loneliness. Most of the time, Del followed her siblings. She loved them all dearly. They were all fond of her as well, to varying degrees, but did sometimes listen to her less than she might have liked. It was a curse of being the youngest, she supposed.

Her constant companion was a german shepherd named Barnabas, on indefinite loan from Destruction. Barnabas was her guardian of sorts, being full of sense enough for the girl who seemed to make no sense at all.

Usual disclaimers. Not Lily Cole, Imogen Heap, or Tori Amos. Not Delirium, though sometimes Delirious. For a roleplaying game. Userinfo table came from RP_tutorials on insanejournal.com.
